Zooming in further still. Here the sun has broken the horizon and is shining on the pier. The sky is still dim enough to get some good detail in the moon though. I'd like this composition but with that nice deep blue sky as in version 01. Soon after this, the sky was too light, and the haze on the horizon too thick, to get any detail in the moon.

i like this one the best of the series.......

I had a really hard time deciding which I actually like best. on the first I like the deep blue to the sky and water, and the second, the slightly muave tones as the sun was starting to influence the colors. On this one I like how the moon is apparently so much larger, and the sun hitting the pier and water really brightens things and adds a lot of color. Something interesting about having the moon so clear in the light of day, too. So, all three I guess.

I'm glad you enjoyed this series. :)

Thanks.
This is the shot I was hoping for composition wise. With the moon all big like that. Though I like the sky colors better in the other two. Well, this ones pretty colorful too, though. But i like the moon more bright I guess.

My eyes they hurt... the colours.... they are killing me, so amazing :cries: It must be the salt in the air that creates these strange colours. :wow:

Alucard: I had one man tell me he was a writer.
Integra: And what did you do?
A: I killed him quickly.
I: I'm sure the art community thanked you.
A: I like to consider myself a scathing critic. Non of my subjects survive my reviews.

Yes, the marine air does produce some interesting colors and effects. Like those glowing orange sun discs, as it hits the horizon.
Also, I've managed a technique to do these in HDR without too much funkyness in the moon. So that helps bring the colors out too.
