For my next feature, I would like to introduce a multi-talented artist, Ben Heine benheine.deviantart.com/ A man who I think I've been watching for two of my three years here on dA. He has vast experience and references in his field of work. But his Front Page tells his story much better than I can here. Stop there first perhaps, to get an idea of who he is and what he does.
The inspiration for this feature comes from a recent new direction that he has been experimenting with, which is using drawings and photography in a composite piece. Very astounding to see some of his results. I could praddle all night, but best to let his work speak for itself.
Self Portrait.

A large feature I know, but this really does not cover the half of the awesome work in his gallery.

Flat Earthers and other Fun Stuff.
Hello everybody. As you are aware, I drifted off for a while. Logging on to my page I was really gratified to see so many birthday wishes. My birthday is in June, so I guess that says a lot about the last time I was here for any significant time.
So here's the story. I was on YouTube and was watching a science video, and in the comment sections there was a brigade of these people who apparently believe the earth is flat. That was the beginning of a long spiral down a rabbit hole, which has admittedly been kind of fun, though frustrating. Fun, because I was curious to see why anybody would think there is evidence the earth is flat, and it has
Featuring Quantum-Artist
I just want to share with you all the latest work from Quantum-Artist. This piece in particular I really like because I feel it has a good message for us.
Here are some additional works by him as well:

Shooting the Moon
If you don't want to read about photography details, just skip to the photos.
Anyone who has pointed a camera at the moon to get a photo of that great silvery orb in the sky knows that what ever assumptions you may have, the reality of getting a good moon photo is a bit more complicated. For example, our first thought is that the moon is out at night, so we need to do a long exposure. Not so. the moon is actually quite bright, and an exposure longer than 1/125 at f/8 (if I remember correctly) is going to get you a blown out moon, lacking detail. And if if you go longer, let's say 5 seconds, things start looking like daylight. Add to this the
Some Interesting favorites
Just some interesting favorites from over the last few days.
This one is listed as a photomanipulation. It is difficult to tell where the photos are at, and is so skillfully put together that it seems created whole and original. Also the way the theme is tied together into the creature is just amazing.
This one is simply a photograph, but for clarity and quality of light, composition and sharpness; it seems to be created in a more controlled environment. A really excellent photograph.
This is a digital painting for a video game that is in the development stage. It looks like an interesting premise, and the artwork is spectacular. It has a
